Dontez Dewayne Clark

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Point Pleasant M. B. Church, Mt. Olive for Mr. Dontez Dewayne Clark, 53, who died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017, at Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg. Rev. James Hunter officiated with interment following in Pilgrim Rest M. B. Church Cemetery, Porterville. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dontez Clark was born to the late Betty Clark and Mr. Henry Walker. He was a member of Point Pleasant M. B. Church and South Central ASA Phillip Randolph Institute. He was a substitute teacher and bus driver for Jefferson Davis County School District and was litter co-ordinator and Deputy for Jefferson Davis County Sheriff Department.
Mr. Clark was a 1982 graduate of Prentiss High School where he was a sports achiever in basketball and football. He loved doing construction work and auto mechanic work. He was a member of NAACP.
He is survived by: wife, Linda Clark of Mt. Olive; father, Henry (Phyllis) Walker of East St. Louis, Illinois; daughters, Shequita Eades of Porterville and Felecia Nave of Cypress, Texas; son, Dontedric (Sharneshia) Gowdy of Porterville; brother, Henry Walker, Jr. of St. Louis, Illinois; sisters, Essie of Indiana and Dawn Dampier of Mt. Olive; five aunts; three uncles; eight grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
