The Prentiss Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a pulled pork sandwich fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 7.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be held at the Ronald W. Jones Memorial Complex at 1340 Hwy 184 West in Prentiss.
Plates will include a pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans and dessert.
All proceeds will benefit the volunteer fire department and will be used to purchase needed equipment and supplies.
“The town is great about helping us buy things,” said Prentiss Fire Chief Wayne Bass.
“Missy has worked tirelessly getting us the things we have requested and the board of aldermen has been very receptive to our needs. We are all working together trying to get things up to date.
“This money will help buy things such as flashlights that attach to fire helmets, extra clothing and food the might need throughout the year.”
Tickets can be purchased at the Prentiss Fire Department, Prentiss City Hall or from any Prentiss volunteer firefighter.
