11 booked on indictment charges

The Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Department and the Prentiss Police Department, along with officers from the Mississippi Department of Corrections, did an indictment round-up early Tuesday morning.

Eleven suspects were brought in and booked into the Jefferson Davis County jail.

“These indivudals were indicted earlier this year by a grand jury with enough evidence to go forward with a trial,” said Jefferson Davis County Sheriff Ron Strickland.

Those picked up were Jervis Martin, Caleb Graves, Boris Walker, Julion Jones, Alexis Gray, Willie Stubbs, Christopher Bridges, Walter Berry Jr., Jamie Easterling and Michael Sands.

While making an arrest on a felony drug indictment on Kelvin Myers, officers discovered Myers was in possession of an ounce of methamphetamine “ice.”

Myers was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and resisting arrest by fleeing. Myers was picked up at a residence on Buddy Price Road in Prentiss.

“Thank you to the officers that assisted in the round-up. It was a success and all suspects were picked up without incident. We will continue to search for the ones that have not year been taken into custody,” said Prentiss Police Chief Joe Bullock.

All 11 will be arraigned on Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Jefferson Davis County Courthouse.
