Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Friendship M. B. Church, Collins for Mr. Billy Ray Magee, 62, who died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at his residence in Laurel.

Rev. Willie V. Magee officiated with burial following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Billy Ray Magee was born to the late Bessie Fry and Silas Magee. He was a member of Friendship M. B. Church.

Mr. Magee attended Collins High School and Jones Community College, where he studied to become a welder.

He was employed at Howard Industries. He was married to Deloyce Booth and later married Erica McDonald.

He is survived by: wife, Erica Magee of Laurel; children, Billy R. Magee, Javier Magee, Bilyana Magee, Billy B. Magee, Coretta Magee, Montes (Patricia) Magee, Belesha Magee, Terrus (Taquala) Magee, Lillo (Kiana) Price and Christopher Magee; four brothers, Charles (Rosemary) Fry, David (Dara) Fry, Eddie Fry and Sammy (Phyllis) Berry; two sisters, Mary (Willie) Fry and Laura Fry of Gulfport; and special friend, Mr. Jordan.
