Edna Pearl Haddox Dyess, 82, passed away Sept. 7, 2017, at her home.  Services were held Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Stringer Funeral Home Chapel in Crystal Springs with burial in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.

Mrs. Dyess was born Oct. 30, 1934, in Columbia, to Carl Eugene and Geneive Lanell Speights Haddox.  She graduated from Bunker Hill High School and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many.  She was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Crystal Springs.

Cleveland and Edna enjoyed 63 wonderful years together and especially enjoyed traveling after Cleveland retired in 1991.  She will be missed dearly by her family, whom she loved with all her heart.  She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings as long as she was able, but cherished having her family visiting with her more than anything else.
