Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Greater Sweet Beulah Church of God in Christ for Mrs. Maggie L. “Dolly” Allen, 93, who died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at her residence.

Elder Timothy Curry officiated with burial following in the Golden Gate Cemetery, Prentiss. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Maggie Allen was born in Kosciusko to the late Lillian McInnis and Hollie Ward. She attended school at Pine Bluff Elementary and Oakley High School in Prentiss. She joined Sweet Beulah COGIC.

Mrs. Allen married the late Madison Allen and to this union nine children were born.

She is survived by: five daughters, Barbara Allen, Wanda Kylons, Leflora Ross, Alfreda Allen, and Ruby Norwood all of Prentiss; sons, Marcus Allen and Roy Allen both of Prentiss; Northern Allen of Lawton, Oklahoma;  17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren.
