Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Shoemake were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Shoemake, 87, died on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, in Hattiesburg. Rev. Charles Burnham officiated and Tina Bass provided the musical service. Interment was in the Whitesand Cemetery.

Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Tommy Griffith, Jimmy Griffith, Larry Lee, David Lee, Tim Kidd and Rob Kidd.

Mary Lee Griffith Shoemake was born on July 23, 1930, in Jefferson Davis County to Tom W. Griffith and Cora Smith Griffith. Mrs. Shoemake was a retired seamstress and was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.

Preceding Mrs. Shoemake in death were her mother and father; her husband, Rudolph Shoemake and 10 brothers and sisters.

Survivors are two step-daughters, Brenda Cardwell (Ronald) of Georgia and Sandra Kidd (Ed) of North Carolina; two nieces/caretakers Tammy Griffith and Judy Bridges; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
