Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at North Pleasant Hill M. B. Church, New Hebron,  for Mr. Charles Willie Jones, 76, who died Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, in St. Louis,  Missouri. Burial followed in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Charles W. Jones was born to the late L. C. and Hillarie H. Jones in New Hebron. He was baptized at North Pleasant Hill M. B. Church and received his early education in New Hebron and attended McCullough High School in Monticello.

He owned his own towing service, “City Wide Towing” in 1987 in St.Louis, Missouri. He later joined New Jerusalem M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Herbert C. Jones, Fred Jones and Robert E. Jones.

He is survived by a son, Jamel Jones of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Willie (Cynthia) Jones and Frank Jones both of New Hebron; five sisters, Bettye (Johnnie) Alexander of Sontag, Bonnie Weathersby of Chicago, Illinois, Helen Bonds of St. Louis, Missouri, Ardella (Evanders) Magee of Harvey, Louisiana; and Thelma (Aaron) Hardy of Braxton and many other relatives and friends.
