Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at St. Paul M. B. Church in Silver Creek, for Mr. Edward Bernard “Blue” Madison, 43, who died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Oshcher Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana. Rev. Michael Evans officiated with interment following in the Pen Oak Church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bernard Madison was born to the late Shelby Madison Sr. and Mrs. Georgia M. Lewis. He attended McCullough Jr. High and Lawrence County High School and attended the Job Corps in Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hattie B. and Ray Hill, Ordella and C. B. Madison and Navie and Eunice Goodloe; father, Shelby Madison Sr.; brother, Robert Madison, Shelby Lee Madison and Shelby Madison Jr.

He is survived by four daughters, Tamerion Barnes, Santina Hill, Renada Hooker and Breana Hooker; mother, Georgia M. (Kevin) Lewis; two sisters, Shella Slay and Nicole Collins and many other relatives and friends.
