Memorial Services for Mr. Jimmy Mikell were held Feb. 11, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Mikell died Feb. 8, 2018, in Hattiesburg.

Rev. Terry Wallace officiated.

Saulters-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James Albert Mikell was born Dec. 22, 1932, in Jefferson Davis County to Jack and Winnie Oglesby Mikell.

Mr. Mikell was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of  Oak Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his wife, Betty Mikell.

Mr. Mikell is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Mikell of Mt. Olive; one son, Jimmy (Tammy) Mikell of Norfolk, Virginia; one step-daughter, Tanya Brown of Wilson, North Carolina; two grandchildren, James Mikell and Nicole Mikell; three step-grandchildren, Pricilla Florez, Samantha Florez and Melissa Florez; four great-grandchildren and one brother, Earl Mikell of Prentiss.
