Funeral services were held Saturday, March 31, 2018, at China Lee M. B. Church, Silver Creek for Mrs. Willie D. Ross, 80, who died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Brandon. Rev. Jerry Earl, pastor, officiated with burial following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Willie D. Ross was born to the late Rev. Henry and Caroline Stewart. She was married to the late I. C. Ross and five children were born to this union.

She was educated in Lawrence County and was employed with The Kellwood Company in Monticello for 38 years. She was a member of China Lee M. B. Church where she was a member of the Mother Ministry, Senior Mission and Choir Ministry.

She was preceded in death by 18 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by: three sons, Danny Ross, Sr. of Hattiesburg, Isaac (Jackie) Ross of Canton, and Craig Ross of Jackson; two daughters, Linda (James) Scott of Jackson, and Connie (Rev. Ronnie) Haynes of Monticello; five sisters, Ollie B. Cenance, Minister Hilda Williams, Linda (James) Kelly all of Silver Creek; Margie Nell Randolph of New Orleans, Louisiana and Henrietta Hartwell of Gulfport; 12 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
