There will be a run-off election held on June 26 for two positions that failed to receive the percentage necessary to move on to the general election set for Nov. 6.

There will be a run-off between Michael Guest and Whit Hughes for the R e p u b l i c a n U.S. House of Representatives, third congressional district. In Jefferson Davis County, Guest received 232 votes to Hughes’ 93.

A run-off between David Baria and Howard Sherman will be held for the Democratic U.S. Senate seat.

Baria received 159 votes in Jefferson Davis County. Sherman received 319.
