Funeral services for Mrs. Mae T. Griffith, 98, Magee, were held on Aug. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Olive. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pastor Demetrius Pittman officiated the services.

Reeves Funeral Home, Inc. of Mount Olive was in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Griffith died Aug. 7, 2018, at Hillcrest Nursing Facility in Magee.

Pallbearers were John Etheredge, IV, Demarcus

Lott, Marlin Bibs, Jimmy Griffith, Robert Jaynes, Robin Jaynes, Rodney Jaynes and Kelvin Jones

Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Raymond Griffith, Jeffery Griffith, George Hartzog, Charles Griffith, Christopher Griffith, Johnny Griffith II, Rickey Lee Jones and Michael Lee Jones.

The flower bearers were Rachel Etheredge Bibbs, Rebekah Buckley, Selena Jones, Jerrie Buckley, Vicky Jones, Samantha Griffith and Nichole Jones.

Mrs. Griffith was educated at Gray School, Prentiss.

She was united with Rock Hill Holiness Church, Jefferson Davis County, at an early age. She later joined New Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Magee.

She enjoyed her family more than anything, along with fishing, caring for animals and was known as an amateur botanist.

She enjoyed trips to Idaho and New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a big fan of the LA Lakers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Della Price Lockhart; husband, Louis Hill Griffith, seven of her children, Linda Griffith, Betty Jo Griffith, Charles Edward Griffith, Louis Hill Griffith, Evelyn Jaynes, Rose Mary Griffith and Linda Kay Griffith; grandchildren, Robert Edward Buckley Jr, David Lamont Holloway, Patricia Hartzog, Antonio Hartzog, James Brown II and Shenice Lymon.

Survivors include children, Patricia Brown, Jackson, Eva Carroll (Paul) Hartzog, Chicago, Illinois, Marie Buckley, Florence, Johnny Raymond Griffith, Menden- hall, special daughter- in-law, Fanny Griffith,

Chicago, Illinois, 20 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and a host of great and great-great nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
