Funeral services for Billy W. Jackson were held at 11a.m. Tuesday,
Sept. 4, 2018, in the chapel at Saulters Funeral Home. Mr. Jackson
died on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, in Jefferson Davis County.
Rev. Randy Gardner officiated and burial was in the Antioch Baptist
Church Cemetery in Copiah County.
Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be James Davis, Dylan Jackson, Jason Lee, Sidney
Thompson, Timothy Thompson and Randy Reynolds.
Billy Wilson Jackson was born on March 2, 1936, in Crystal Springs to
William and Bonnie Davis Jackson.
Mr. Jackson had an extensive career in the production side of the oil
and gas industry.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served aboard the aircraft
carrier USS Ticonderoga, CV14. Mr. Jackson attended Bunker Hill
Baptist Church.
Preceding Mr. Jackson in death were his mother and father; a brother,
Richard Jackson; and two sisters, Mayme Watkins and Willie Bea Vavak.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Susie Thompson Jackson of
Bassfield; three daughters, Angie Fagan (James) of Bassfield, Rita
Oubre (Conley) of Hahnville, Louisiana, and Sandra Jean Jackson of
Flora; one son, Wayne Jackson (Minna) of Wesson; a host of
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Gardiner (Ron)
of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Floy Hagood of Bethany, Oklahoma; as
well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday from 10 – 11 a.m. at Saulters Funeral Home.

Betty Robbins Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Robbins were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Society Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Young officiating. Interment followed in the Society Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Robbins, age 75, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord early Saturday morning, July 13, 2024, at the Forrest General Hospital. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. The Robbins family received friends one hour before the funeral service, beginning at noon, Tuesday, at Society Hill Baptist Church. Pallbearers included Kelley LeNormand, Cymantha Shellenberger, Mason Robbins, Jenna Robbins, Frank Vice and Frank Vice Jr. Betty Robbins was born on June 6, 1949, in Magee, Mississippi to Walter R. and Margaret Jones Bishop. Mrs. Robbins was a long-time resident of Carson. She and her husband would go on to raise a happy family of six children that would multiply over the years with the addition of in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Robbins loved the country life and will be remembered for not only growing a yard full of beautiful flowers, but also a vegetable garden of which she fed her family. An animal lover, she also had dogs, chickens and hogs over the years. Mrs. Robbins was a member of Society Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter R. and Margaret Bishop, her husband, Kenneth Terrell Robbins Sr; her daughter, Pamela Robbins; sisters, Patsy Holden, Margaret  Coble, Linda Hester and her brother, Richard Bishop. Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Billie Jo Williamson of Prentiss; sons, Kenny Robbins Jr. (Kathy) of Carson, Mikell Robbins (Kelley) of Palestine, Texas, John Robbins (Nicole) of Sumrall, Daniel Robbins, (Tanya) of Ft. Worth, Texas; brother, Ray Bishop (Nancy) of Magee and her sister, Myrtis Craig (Ed) of Rossville, Georgia. Mrs. Robbins also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
