Funeral services for J. D. Loar were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday,
Sept. 5, 2018, in the chapel at Saulters Funeral Home. Mr. Loar died
on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at his residence in Picayune.  The Reverend
Charles Burnham officiated and burial was in the Prentiss Cemetery.
Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
J. D. Loar was born on Sept. 7, 1928, in North Kansas City, Missouri
to Katie and Diamond Orin Loar. Mr. Loar was a district manager in the
sales business with Quaker Oats.  He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church
in Picayune.
Preceding Mr. Loar in death were his mother and father; a son, Richard
Lester Loar and seven siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Diane Holloway Loar of
Picayune; and two sons, Joe Darnell Loar, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma and
Orin David Loar of Hot Springs, Arkansas and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 – 11 a.m. at Saulters Funeral Home.
