Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at Palestine M. B. Church in Oakvale for Mrs. Edgar Pearl Black- well Williams 71, who died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayette- ville, North Carolina.

Rev. Johnnie Pittman Jr., pastor, officiated with interment following in Christ Temple Church cemetery in Oakvale. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrange- ments.

Mrs. Edgar Pearl Wil- liams was born to the late Edgar D. (Jack) and Char- lotte R. (Lottie) Blackwell in Oakvale. She attended Prentiss Normal Industrial Institute where she gradu- ated. She was a member of Palestine M. B. Church.

Mrs. Williams was mar- ried to the late Charles C. Jefferson and to this union four children were born. She later married Jesse Williams.

She worked as a care- giver, medical sitter and CNA with home health for over 29 years.

She was preceded in death by: brothers, Clifton Bourne, Algeano Black- well and Robert E. Black- well.

She is survived by her husband Jesse Williams; children, Charles (Jac- queline) Jefferson, James (Tracie) Jefferson, Leon- ard Jefferson, Anita Jeffer- son, four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Laquita Brown; special daughter, Dorothy Jefferson and many other relatives and friends.
