Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Turner were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at the Saulters Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Turner, 68, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, in Prentiss. Rev. Billy Bridges and Rev. Brad Roberts officiated and burial was in the Whitesand Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss.

Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The pallbearers were Hosey Bridges, James Walker, Gary Turner, Andy Saranthus, Shane Steele and James Roberts. The honorary pallbearers were Danny Mullins, Ernest Shoemake, Doug Beard, Billy Bridges and Earl Dean Roberts.

Jimmy Turner was born April 9, 1950 in Jackson to Hilyer Grady Turner and Johnnie Merle Roberts Turner. Mr. Turner worked as a maintenance technician at Hattiesburg Health and Rehab from 1998 until Oct. 23, 2017. He was a Mount Olive graduate, class of 1968, and a graduate of Jones County Junior College. He loved the Lord and attended Lone Star Methodist Church and Sure Anchor Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Mr. Jimmy Terrel Turner is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patsy Walker Turner; a son, Jim Turner and his wife Summer of Clinton; two grandchildren, Carson Turner and Morgan Kate Turner; a sister, LaJuana Mullins and her husband Danny of Prentiss; and his step- father, Everett Walker; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
