Funeral services were held Jan. 5, 2019, at Mt. Carmel M. B. Church for Mr. Robert Louis Coleman, 48, who died Dec. 29, 2018, in Prentiss. Rev. James Dampeer, pastor, officiated with burial following in Griffith Cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Robert L. Coleman was born to Mrs. Evelyn Hill and Mr. Thornell Coleman in Magee. He was a 1988 graduate of Bassfield High School.  He was a member of Mt. Carmel M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, James and Ella Ree Ratliff; paternal grandparents, Louis and Mattie M. Coleman; one niece, Da’Quandra Booth; and brother-in-law, Robert C. Madison.

He is survived by mother, Evelyn “Mary” Hill; father, Thornell Coleman; wife, Nikia Coleman; daughter, Keiahna Knight; sisters, Jacqualin Coleman, Lisa Madison; brother, Donell Coleman; godson, Anthony Walker Jr; special friend, Jessica Myers; many other relatives and friends.
