Funeral services were held Jan. 26, 2019, at New Zion M. B. Church in
Oakvale for Mrs. Jacquelyn Ward Harry, 64, who died Jan. 21, 2019, at
her residence. Rev. Lakendrick Smith officiated with burial following
in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Mrs. Jacquelyn Harry was born to the late Leroy Sr. and Ella Ward in
New Orleans, Louisiana.  She later moved to Oakvale and joined New
Zion M. B. Church where she served on the usher board and maintenance.
She provided a safe haven for many children in the community.
Mrs. Harry was married to Earl Harry and to this union two children were born.
She is survived by: husband, Earl Harry; two daughters, Alexandria
Harry and Courtney Harry; step-daughter, Shakira (Joe) Smith; brother,
Leroy (Gloria) Ward of Hampton, Georgia; many other relatives and
friends.
