Funeral services were held March 16, 2019, at Johnson Funeral Home
Chapel for Mr. Isom Edsel Holloway, 69, who died March 6, 2019, at
Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Rev. Jessie Holloway officiated with burial following in Mt. Zion M.
B. Church Cemetery.
Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Isom Holloway was born to the late Gaston and Genora Holloway in
Jefferson Davis County.
He attended school in Jefferson Davis County public schools. He worked
at Magnetech Universal until retirement. He met and married the late
Rosie B. Smith.
He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins.
He was preceded in death by: brother, Gaston Holloway Jr. and sister,
Maisie H. Mayberry.
He is survived by brother, Perry Holloway of Prentiss; stepchildren,
Evangeline Marin and Lee (Cheryl) Smith both of New Orleans,
Louisiana; Deborah Henderson, Ivy Johnson and Doretha (Meshach)
Sullivan of Pinola; Jerry (Phyllis) Smith of Magee; Clementine Ratllif
and Vivian Smith of Prentiss; 26 grandchildren; 25
great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; nephews, James (Tina)
Holloway of Columbus, Ohio and Melvin (Pam) Holloway of Shreveport,
Louisiana; nieces, Barbara (Jamal) Holloway of Prentiss; Nicollette
(Mack) Clark of Monticello; Euphemia (Terry) Giles of Mesquite, Texas;
Johnalynn (Dwight) Harrison of Chesapeake, Virginia and special
friend, Mack Bryant of Prentiss.
