Former Bassfield Yellowjackets C.J. Moore and Jamal Peters are now on
the distinguished list of football players from Jefferson Davis County
to have an opportunity to play in the NFL.
C.J. Moore just signed as an undrafted free agent and is headed for
his run at the big leagues with the Detroit Lions. Moore helped lead
the Bassfield Yellowjackets to two state championships before playing
four years at Ole Miss.
Jamal Peters is now preparing for the NFL after signing an undrafted
free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts.
Prior to playing four years for the Mississippi State Builldogs,
Peters helped Bassfield to three state championships from 2012-2014.
