Margie Hall Butler

Funeral Services for Margie Hall Butler were held at 11 a.m. on June
21, 2019, at Phalti Baptist Church. Mrs. Butler died on June 15, 2019,
at her residence near Mt. Olive. Rev. Billy Bridges officiated and
burial was in the Phalti Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jared Slack, Trever Slack, Tom Hall, Tim Hall, Greg
Sykes and J. R. Armour.
Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Margie Mae Hall Butler was born Dec. 24, 1932, in Mt. Olive to Luther
Virgil Hall and Onnie Myrtis Tuggle Hall. Mrs. Butler was a retired
seamstress and assembly worker, having worked long term for both NECO
and KLH. She was a member of Phalti Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two sisters, Lexie
Sullivan and Topsie Sykes; and four brothers, John William Hall,
Zollie Hall, Jewitt Hall and Don Hall.
Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ethel Ray Butler
of Mt. Olive; two daughters, Brenda Slack (Bill) of Kathleen, Georgia
and Mary Welch (Darrell) of Magee; three grandchildren, Trever Slack,
Jared Slack and Danielle Darden; two great-grandchildren, Bryant Slack
and Samuel Slack; and a sister, Patricia Hardin (Jimmy) of Florence;
as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was June 20, 2019, 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Saulters Funeral Home.
