Two Jefferson Davis County prisoners exacped road detail Monday morning, but were captured several hours later.

Boris Walker, 53,  and  Taylor Harrington, 24, fled off Hwy 42 in Carson, while working on the clean-up crew for the county.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol assisted the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Department with the search for the prisoners.

Both prisoners were apprehended just three hours after their escape. Walker was found in a trailer park in Carson, Harrington in a field close by. Both are charged with escape, which is a felony.

After the prisoners were returned to the jail, Mississippi Highway Patrol officers did a sweep of the jail confiscating a cell phone and several chargers.
