Graveside services for Mrs. Hazel Barrett-Raynes were held at 10:00 a.m. Aug. 20, 2019, at the Greens Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Barrett-Raynes, age 82, passed away on Aug. 17, 2019 at her residence in Carson. Rev. Bob Burge officiated. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hazel Barrett-Raynes was born on Aug. 25, 1936 in Jefferson Davis County to R. D. Dyess and Gertrude Speights Dyess. Mrs. Barrett-Haynes was a Purchasing Director for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. She was a member of Greens Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two husbands, Lane Barrett and Clyde Raynes; and one brother, Robert Earl Dyess.

Mrs. Barrett-Raynes is survived by one son, Joe Barrett of Carson; one daughter-in-law, Janice Barrett of Byram; two grandchildren, Clint and Chase Barrett of Byram and Carson.
