Funeral services were held Aug. 13, 2019, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Kelvin Ledry Gray, 53, who died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at his residence. Interment followed on Aug. 14, 2019 at Point Pleasant M. B. Church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kelvin L. Gray was born to the late Boyce and Donnie Ree Gray. He was a member of Point Pleasant M. B. Church and was a graduate of Pearl River Community College where he received his Associated of Arts Degree in Machinery.

Mr. Gray was employed as a process technician at Zion Chemical and later as a pipefitter at Northrop Grumman and lastly at Pearl River Community College where was over the janitoral department.

He was preceded in death by: brother, Dwight Gray.

He is survived by sons, Ledry Gray, DeMelvin Gray and Zechariah Gray all of Arlington, Texas; Dwight (Aretina) Dixon of Hattiesburg; daughter, Crystal (Tyron) Franks of Arlington, Texas; former wife, Melody Gray of Arlington, Texas; brothers, Marvin (Sarah) Gray of Jackson, and Boyce Gray of Mt. Olive; sisters, Sonja Gray and Toni Gray both of Mt. Olive; Tracie (Adrian) Smith of Bassfield; three grandchildren and special friend, Barbara Ramsey of Lumberton.
