Funeral services were held July 27, 2019, at Union Baptist Church, Pascagoula, Mississippi for Mrs. Normia Terri Edgar, 78, who died July 20, 2019, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Rev. Larry Hawkins, Sr., pastor, officiated with interment following in the Scranton Cemetery in Pascagoula. Unity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Normia Terri Edgar was born to the late Melissa Solomon. She was sent to Prentiss, to live with her aunt and uncle, Elbert and Ora Jane Solomon when she was five years old. She graduated from Prentiss Institute in 1959 and was a member of Prentiss First Baptist Church until she moved to Pascagoula. Miss Edgar united with Union Baptist Church and remained until her death.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers, devoted friend, Shirley Ellis.

She is survived by two sons, Rickey (Deletha) Edgar and Gregory Edgar both of Pascagoula; four grandchildren, Carlos Edgar, Ayumi Edgar, kotomi Edgar and Asami Gold; one sister, Eva F. (James) Solomon-Edmon of Flowood; one brother, Elbert D. (Thelma Sue) Solomon and many other relatives and friends.
