Jefferson Davis County Tax Assessor Kelley Ross-Brown and her staff have started the preparations for a Fall Festival to be held in downtown Prentiss on Oct.31.

The family-friendly event will be held on Columbia Avenue from the courthouse to the old bank building.

This is the third year for the event. The first two years were held in the Administrative Building parking lot on Pearl Avenue.

“This has been such a successful event that we ran out of room last year,” said Ross-Brown.

“The town has agreed to close off two blocks, so we are moving to main street. It is a good problem to have!”

Plans for the event include food, games, trunk-or-treat and more.
