Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, at Mt. Carmel M. B. Church for Mr. Jimmy Dale McInnis, 54, who died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, in Jefferson Davis County. Rev. Dampeer, pastor, officiated with interment following in the Holloway Family Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jimmy D. McInnis was born to Mr. Rowan and Mrs. Mary Sue McInnis in Prentiss. He attended Prentiss Elementary and was a graduate of Prentiss High School.  He was a member of Mt. Carmel M. B. Church and attended Mt. Zion M. B. Church. He married Mary L. Walker and to this union, one daughter was born.  He later met and married Betty Jean Magee.

He is survived by a daughter, Marneisha McInnis of McDonough, Georgia; stepchildren, sister, Allison P. McInnis of Prentiss; brothers, Raymond McInnis and Brooks McInnis both of Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
