Funeral services for Mr. Bob Jones were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept.  15, 2019, at Saulters Funeral Home in Prentiss, MS. Mr. Jones, age 89, passed away on Thursday Sept. 12, 2019 at his residence.

Rev. Joe Gardner and Dr. French Tripp officiated. Interment followed in Lone Star Cemetery.

Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Robert “Bob” Neal Jones was born on Aug. 7, 1930, in Moorehead, to William Oden Jones Sr. and Annie Lee Wigington Jones.

Jones was an operator in the gas pipeline business for Southern Natural Gas for 41 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; one son, Randy Jones; three sisters and five brothers.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Joyce Jones of New Hebron; two sons, Hal Jones (Evon) and Mike Jones (Annette) all of New Hebron; one daughter-in-law, Martha Jones of New Hebron; six grandchildren, Nealie (Wade) Bryant, Grant Jones, Ashley (Scotty) Burns, Allison (Jonathan) Evans, Finleigh Jones and Carrie Grace Jones; seven great grandchildren, Eli Bryant, Chainie Kate Bryant, Connor Banks, Brayson Evans, Halli Tate Evans, Kaitlyn Evans and Aubrey Evans.

Visitation was Saturday Sept. 14, 2019, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Saulters Funeral Home Chapel.
