Dorothy Josephine Terrell, 78, of Petal, formerly of Bassfield, passed away on Oct. 5, 201,9 at Bedford Care Monroe Hall in Hattiesburg. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until the service. A graveside service was held at 1:15 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery in Bassfield following the memorial service.

Ms. Terrell was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was previously a teacher for Our Lady of Victories Catholic School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Ruby Terrell; her brother, Jimmy Terrell and her two sisters, Shirley Wilson, and Marilyn “Kissy” Cone.

She is survived by eight nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
