Graveside services were held Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at Wheeler Cemetery in Bassfield, for Mr. Emel Gil Hunter, 67, who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Rev. Duane Hill officiated.

Mr. Emel G. Hunter was born to the late Leonard and Marguerite Hunter in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He attended Louisiana State University and later Southern University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting.

He worked for Brown & Root, Union Carbide Corporation and retired from Dow Chemical in 2016.

He was married to Anna Adams in 1976 and they became the parents of four children.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Hunter; four children, Craig (Sandra) Adams of Lexington, Kentucky; Linda (Benjamin) Gayle of Mobile, Alabama; and Sasha (Blake) Beevers of New Orleans, Louisiana; three siblings, Leonard (Carol) Hunter III of Laplace, Louisiana; Constance Acker of New Orleans, Louisiana; Tab (Kathy) Hunter of New Orleans, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
