Prentiss receives public facilities grant
The Town of Prentiss has received a grant from the Community Development Block Grant program. The grant is for small public facilities and is in the amount of $450,000.
“The funding demonstrates the Town of Prentiss’s commitment to community needs in Mississippi,” said Gov. Phil Bryant.
“I commend you for this initiative to improve the quality of life in your community.”
The grant will be used to replace old lines and manholes. Work will begin after the first of the year.
“Without assistance from the CDBG program offered through the Mississippi Development Authority, small towns such as ours would be unable to address critical needs in our infrastructure,” said Mayor Charley Dumas.
“We areextremely appreciative of Gov. Bryant and his commitment to helping the Town of Prentiss in this project.”
