Charles Berry

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Charles Berry, 84, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Rev. Wyman Mobley officiated with interment following in the Polk Cemetery in Prentiss. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Charles Berry was born to the late Solomon Berry and Maye Belle Golden. He was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Berry; daughter, Janice Berry; grandson, Samuel Berry Jr.; two sisters and eight brothers.

He is survived by six daughters, Lucille (Charlie) Buckley of Laurel; Kathy Walker and Latonya Berry both of Atlanta, Georgia; Anita Jeng of Atlanta, Georgia; Jamie (Clarence) Ross of Laurel; and Selina (Melvin) Newell of Heidelberg; four sons, Samuel (Phyllis) Barnes of Prentiss, MS; Leaveal (Anita) Berry of Prentiss; Lee Charles Berry of Prentiss; and Johnny Berry of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Oliver (Tina) Polk of Detroit, Michigan; 19 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
