JDC chosen for Southern Pine Adopt-a-School Program

Each year, Southern Pine announces the selection of a new school for participation in its Adopt-A-School program from its 11-county service area. Throughout the year, Southern Pine employees will help provide resources and teach a new generation about the benefits of belonging to a cooperative. Southern Pine has announced Jefferson Davis County High School as its 2020 Adopt-a-School participant. Jefferson Davis County Superintendent of Education Will Russell, Jefferson Davis County High School Principal Carrie Hammond- Walker, class officers Janiya James(senior class), Zaporia Betts(junior class), Brandi Echols-Graves(sophomore class) and Leia Youngblood (senior class) represented Jefferson Davis County High School on Nov. 14, at Southern Pine’s board meeting which was hosted at its new headquarters in Taylorsville. “JDCHS is extremely excited to be selected as the 2020 Adopt-A-School participant, said Principal Carrie Hammond-Walker. “We are very appreciative of Southern Pine.”
