Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at New Zion M. B. Church in Oakvale, Mississippi for Mr. Eluard “Mann” Bournes Sr., 87, who died Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Rev. Johnnie Donaldson officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Eluard Bournes was born to the late Bennie and Minnie Bournes in Oakvale.

He was the co-founder and owner of Bournes Muffler Shop in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a member of New Zion M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Sam Bournes, Jeroff Bournes, Masilun Bournes, Steve Bournes, Linuard Bournes, Willard Bournes and Selmon Bournes; sisters, Myree Bourne, Gloria Bournes, Doris Bournes and Feloniece Bournes.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie “Nell” Bournes; children, Thomas McGee Sr., Tonya Fairley and Eluard (Melissa) Bournes Jr; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; godchild, Sydney Bournes; lifelong friend, Artis “PNut” Buckley and many other relatives and friends.
