Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Outreach Fellowship Revival Center for Mr. John Eston Boyd, 59, who died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at Mississippi Veterans Home in Jackson. Rev. Jessie Holloway officiated with interment following in the Griffith Cemetery in Prentiss. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. John Eston Boyd was born to the late Moses and Doris Boyd in Prentiss. He joined Mt. Zion M. B. Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until his health failed. He was married to Setatine Jackson and to this union three children were born.

Mr. Boyd served in the U. S. Army in Germany and drove trucks for T. L. Wallace.

He is survived by wife, Setatine Boyd of Prentiss; three children, Christopher Boyd of Prentiss, Jessica Boyd of Gulfport and Latoya Boyd of Prentiss; eight grandchildren; siblings, Christian Williams and Lee Boyd both of Prentiss; and Dr. Patty Boyd of Texas and many other relatives and friends.
