Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at South Pleasant Hill M. B. Church for Mr. Willie James Robinson Jr., “Dub Hill”, 80, who died Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Rev. Gregory Parkman officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Willie Robinson Sr. was born to the late James Robinson and Emma Williams in Lincoln County. He was educated in Jefferson Davis County and attended high school at Prentiss Normal Industrial Institute. He was a long haul truck diver for more than 40 years.

Mr. Robinson joined South Pleasant Hill and later united with Galilee M. B. Church. He was married to Mrs. Alice Nell Parkman in 1988.

He was preceded in death by brother, Roosevelt Hill, son, Jeffery Baker and sister-in-law, Bessie Robinson.

He is survived by wife, Alice Nell Robinson; four sons, Willie J. Robinson Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Douglas Williams of Prentiss, Gregory (Theresa) Partman of Brookhaven, Kevin Partman of Prentiss; one sister, Sarah N. McGowan of Prentiss; one brother, R. C. Robinson of Texarkana, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; one aunt, Easter McCullum and many other relatives and friends.
