Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at Friendship M.
B. Church in Collins for Mr. Louis Steven Magee, 65, who died Monday,
Feb. 3, 2020, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Rev. Randy
Miller officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.
Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Louis S. Magee was born to the late Elezer and Dorothy Holloway
Magee in Collins. He attended school in Covington County and was a
member of Friendship M. B. Church. Mr. Magee was a resident of Mt.
Olive, Mississippi until he moved to Gulfport with his brother,
Robert.
He was preceded in death by five siblings, Sonny Magee, Myrtle Graves,
Louise Dortch, Virdee Ross and Reddie Faye Magee.
He is survived by two daughters, Kim Magee of Gulfport and Carol
Gammage of Collins; four sons, Louis Magee, Elezer Magee, Potrich
Magee and Kenny Magee all of Collins; one sister, Dorothy Leavy of
Detroit, Michigan; three brothers, Louis (Louise) Magee and George
Magee both of Bassfield; Robert Magee of Gulfport; five grandchildren
and many other relatives and friends.
