Funeral services were held Monday, March 16, 2020, at Mt. Zion M. B. Church for Mr. Willie McClinton Jones, 88, who died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Rev. Ozell White officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Willie Jones was born to the late Robert and Leona Barnes Jones in Jefferson Davis County.

He was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion M. B. Church. He attended Mt. Zion School and continued his education at Prentiss Institute and Sophia Sutton in Prentiss.

He worked with his dad at Saulters Funeral Home and Magnetek Manufacturing where he was a material handler for over 26 years before retiring. He served as a Mason.

Mr. Jones was married to Madis Williams Jones and to this union, 11 children were born.

He was preceded in death by son, Micheal Jones, and an older sister.

He is survived by his wife, Madis Jones; children, Joyce (Clifton) Washington, Patsy (Allen Dale) White, Pauline (Keith) White,Linda Murrell, Katherine Ellis, Jerry (Allison) Jones, Sherry (Levi) Brown, Jeffery (Joyce) Jones, Cyris (Terri) Jones and Michelle Jones; 30 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
