Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Wilson were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Saulters Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Wilson, age 83, passed away from this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Arrington Living Center in Collins.  Rev. Seth Bond officiated.  Interment  followed at the Mack Cemetery in Bassfield.

Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Chris Bass, Aaron Bass, Dylan Thames, Ben Speights, Justin Speights and Casey Wilson.

Shirley Wilson was born on April 18, 1937, in Lone Star, to Udies Brown and Mattie Lee Lofton Brown. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. She was affiliated with the Santee Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, James Clyde Wilson;  son, James Curtis Wilson;  daughter, Brenda Lee Speights; sisters, Rosie Wilson, Earlene Bridges, Faye Penton and Margaret Patterson;  and brothers, Otis Brown and Dewey Brown.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by three daughters, Sandi Thames (Bob) of Seminary, Dorothy Anne Koch (Jeff) of Petal and Belinda Wilson of Hazelhurst; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday, May 30, 2020, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Saulters Funeral Home.
