Burnice L.  Raynes

Burnice “Tiny” Lanelle Raynes passed away at the age of 83 on July 23, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital due to natural causes. She was born in Jefferson Davis County in 1936.

Tiny was an all-star basketball player in high school and went on to marry the love of her life, FT Raynes. The two were married for 50 years. They enjoyed traveling to the mountains and were passionate members of Crossroads Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by their daughter, Myra Elaine Raynes and beloved dog, Ginger; husband, FT Raynes; parents, Joel J. Dyess and Olive Pierce Dyess, three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia Hebert of Baker, Louisiana and son, Mark Raynes of Carson; four grandchildren, Jason Hebert, Tosha Head, Tara Hebert and Cassondra Bonds; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Agnes Bahn of Carson and Phenie Stogner of Carson.

A graveside service was held at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 9 a.m.
