Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Margie Mae Walker, 65, who died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2020, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Laurel.  Rev. Dampeer officiated with interment following in the Perkins Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Margie Mae Walker was born to the late Bill and Luvenia Perkins in Lawrence County.  She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in New Hebron.  She was married to Roy Walker and to this union, two children were born.  Mrs. Walker lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota for many years before returning to Mississippi.

She was formerly employed at New Hebron Manufacturing Company.

She was preceded in death by two daughters and two brothers.

She is survived by seven children, Anthoy and Jermaine Walker both of New Hebron; Deshun Walker of Prentiss; Netrica Walker of Purvis; Calandra (Travis) Stephens and Diana Walker both of Hattiesburg; Saveria Walker of Prentiss; brother, Orange Perkins of New Hebron; sister, Louise Melton of Prentiss; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
