Perfect Pact was awarded the right to deliver a specific number of boxes for the USDA Farms to Families for Phase III in Mississippi including Jefferson Davis County.
Perfect Pact serves alongside foodbanks, non-profits and schools to feed families experiencing food insecurity due to the economic hardships caused by COVID-19.
The Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors and JDC Emergency Management Director Jocelyn Ragsdale, in conjunction with Perfect Pact, will distribute 1200, 30-pound boxes filled with a combination of fruits, vegetables, pre-cooked meat, cheese, cultured dairy and fluid milk.
Boxes will be distributed to JDC citizens from churches in the county beginning Oct. 16 and will continue for four weeks each Friday. A full list of churches distributing the boxes will be in next week’s edition.
RS3M Long Term Recovery will also distibute boxes at J. E. Johnson Elementary School in Prentiss on Oct. 8 beginning at 11 a.m.
