Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Charles Edward Lucas, 69, who died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at his residence.  Rev. Robert Collins officiated with interment following in South Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Charles Lucas was born to the late Sandy May and Annie Louise Geeston.  He was raised by Mittie and Arnell Lucas and was a member of South Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Lucas was married to Dorothy Ann Bridges in 1973; to this union five children were born.  He retired from Georgia Pacific.

He was preceded in death by three children: Tracy Bridges, Carolyn Fortenberry and Charles Lucas Jr.; sisters, Gloria Jean and Renee Geeston; brothers, Odell Jones, Raymond Geeston, Artice Geeston and Adolph Randolph.

He is survived by his wife, Dorthy A. B. Lucas; daughters, Theresa Lucas and Samantha (Captrick) Mitchell; sisters, Margie Newsome of Atlanta, Georgia and Nanette Geeston of New Jersey and many other relatives and friends.
