Funeral Services for Mike Bridges were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, in the Saulters Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Bridges, age 96, passed away from this life on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020, in Hattiesburg.

Dr. F. W. Tripp officiated. Interment was in Whitesand Baptist Church Cemetery.

Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Colton Jones, Stephen Jones, Dean Banks, Joel Riels, Mike Bridges, Brad Bridges, Joey Bridges and Chey Bridges.

Henry Mike Bridges was born on July 8, 1924, in Jefferson Davis County to Frank and Anna Fortenberry Bridges.

Mr. Bridges was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a farmer and a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.

Preceding Mr. Bridges in death were his mother and father; his wife, Louise Griffith Bridges; three brothers, Ben Bridges, Webb Bridges and Howard Bridges and two infant sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Leslie Bridges (Judy) and Harold Bridges (Patricia), all of Prentiss; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Whitehead of New Hebron; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Saulters Funeral Home.
