Exxon Fastmart in Prentiss was evacuated and closed for a portion of the evening Monday night after employees grew concerned about a natural gas leak. Prentiss police officers secured the scene and closed a portion of St. Stephens Road until CenterPointe Energy arrived to evaluate equipment and make necessary repairs.
