Jefferson Davis County Economic Development Director Gary Russell Bass and assistant director Barbara Slater are pictured with supplies donated for the county’s clean up project this month. Bass reached out to MDOT and received garbage bags, safety vests and other tools to assist in the effort.

“I made a phone call to a contact in the McComb MDOT office and received these supplies the next day,” said Bass. “We greatly appreciate their assistance. Anything we can do to make improvements our county is a win for us all.”

“The supervisors of this county are asking you as the residents to help us keep our county clean and litter free,” said District 3 Supervisor Demarrio Booth. “This is our county and we need to keep it clean, we shouldn’t use it as a trash can or dumpster.”
