Dear Editor:

Last Thursday, in the middle of the thunderstorm, a reception was held for people to come meet me, the Economic Development District Director.

The turnout was much better than expected considering the nature of the storm.

I am truly grateful for the ones that braved the storm that day to show me support.

To those who were unable to make it, feel free to come by and visit me anytime.  I am always happy to meet folks from Jefferson Davis County – new and old.

We all have the responsibility of moving Jefferson Davis County toward her full potential.  I am appreciative of everyone with ideas for new projects that can help make this county safe and prosperous again.

Let’s all work together to make Jefferson Davis County the “Garden Spot of the Earth”.
