The Prentiss Fire Department hosted its first annual Remembrance Walk this morning. This, of course, is in remembrance of the walk Jesus Christ took on his way to be crucified. All surrounding first responders and community members were welcomed to participate.  The walk began at the Ronald Wayne Jones Memorial Complex on Hwy. 184 in and traveled down Columbia Ave. through Prentiss.  “I would like to thank everyone who came out this morning and participated in the first annual Remembrance Walk,” said event organizer Michael Davis. “A special thanks to the Mayor and board for allowing us to do this, as well as the State Fire Marshal’s Office, Prentiss Police Department, Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Office, Prentiss Fire Chief Wayne Bass and Sheriff Ron Strickland. We look forward making this bigger and better each year.”
