The Jeff Davis Farmers Cooperative directors hosted an appreciation dinner recently for two of its long time and unbelievably valuable and exemplary employees.

Mr. James Ball began his employment with Jeff Davis Farmers Cooperative in an exemplary manner for over 50 years. During the course of his employment, he has loaded tens of thousands of sacks of feed and fertilizer onto customers vehicles. He has spread literally mountains of fertilizer. He has worn out at least four spreader trucks. He has an amazing knowledge of specific fields on individuals’ farms throughout the county. Ball was born in and lived in Jefferson Davis County his entire life. He and his wife, Roberta, have two children, Michael and Feliciana. They are long-term members of Sweet Water Methodist Church in Bassfield.

President Lee Earls presented Ball with a plaque and a personalized jacket as expressions of appreciation for his long and faithful service to Jeff Davis Farmers Cooperative.

Dina Bridges Hagenson started her employment with Jeff Davis Farmers Cooperative in 2006. She was an efficient, energetic and congenial employee of the Jeff Davis Farmers Cooperative for 15 years. Her duties included servicing customers, stocking and organizing merchandise in and orderly and attractive manner, housekeeping etc. Hagenson was a valuable and much-loved employee of Jeff Davis Farmers Cooperative. Unfortunately, a severe health problem made it impossible for her to continue to serve Jeff Davis Farmers Cooperative. “We pray that her health will continue to improve so she can again lead a more normal and enjoyable life,” said Earls.
